The Process

How we install Ultra Flake

A garage install typically takes 2–3 days. Here's exactly what happens in your space.

Surface Preparation — Diamond Grinding

We mechanically diamond-grind the concrete to open the pores and remove laitance, paint, sealers and contamination. This is the single most important step — and the one most installers skip.

Crack & Defect Repair

Cracks, divots and surface defects are cut, filled with APC EPO100EP epoxy putty, and re-ground flush. Skipping this means cracks telegraph back through the finished floor.

Moisture-Barrier Primer Coat

APC EPO100T penetrating epoxy primer seals the concrete and prevents moisture-related lift. This is your bond layer — without it, no coating sticks for the long term.

Broadcast Coat — Vinyl Flake

We roll on a heavy basecoat and broadcast vinyl flake to rejection — meaning we throw flake until the floor can't hold any more. Once cured, excess is scraped and vacuumed.

First Polyaspartic Topcoat

Two-component APC Sparta polyaspartic is squeegeed and back-rolled to encapsulate the flake. UV stable, chemical resistant, no yellowing.

Final Topcoat

A second polyaspartic coat builds the protective film and creates the depth of finish that distinguishes a professional install. Walk-on in 24 hours, full cure in 7 days.
